Holt, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Contract for Design Services at Dos Vientos Community Park <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to enter into a contract with Greg Korn Architect (GKA) in <br />the total amount of $65,000 ($60,470 plus $4,530 contingency for expenses) to prepare <br />architectural design services for Dos Vientos Community Center and Park <br />improvements, including storage addition, exterior shaded programmable area, existing <br />office renovation, and further development of existing secondary entryway. <br />DISCUSSION <br />A Request for Proposals (RFP) for Design Services was advertised in the Ventura <br />County Star, posted on the District's website, and emails were sent to local and regional <br />design firms from a list provided by the City of Thousand Oaks. Six proposals were <br />submitted at 5:00 p.m. on October 23, 2015. District staff reviewed and screened the <br />proposals and interviewed the top proposer.
