CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />September 4, 2014 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Gibson called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and McQueeney led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda, Lindsey and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Bryan McQueeney — Ride On <br />McQueeney said this month marks 13 years of service by Ride On to the Conejo Valley; <br />he gave a brief overview of Ride On's recent activities and site improvements. He thanked <br />the Board of Directors for their support and mentioned he was looking forward to seeing <br />many of them at the upcoming benefit to be held at Ventura Farms. Board members <br />thanked McQueeney and his staff for all of their hard work and efforts in providing <br />therapeutic horsemanship to area residents. <br />Barbara Kloster — ETI — Day of the Horse <br />Kloster invited the Board and Staff to the 10th annual Day of the Horse on September 13tH <br />She announced Susan Holt as the Grand Marshal of the event. Board members thanked <br />Kloster for her vision which has created such a successful annual event year after year. <br />Christine McQuaid, Vice President of ETI Corral #37, thanked the Board for their support <br />of ETI and the Conejo Creek Equestrian Park. She referenced ongoing improvements and <br />reported on various activities which have been held over the past year. Board members <br />thanked McQuaid for her efforts. <br />At 7:55 pm, Friedl announced a need to move to Agenda Item 14 and hold an Executive <br />Closed Session with legal counsel, Dennis Walsh, Esq. with no announcement expected. <br />
