Provide direction to staff on the recommended proposed TEN-YEAR CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT PLAN. <br />2. Public hearings for the Fiscal Years 2021-22 and 2022-23 are scheduled for June 3, 2021 <br />and June 17, 2021. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Introduction <br />Staff is presenting the Board with a proposed TEN-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN which <br />includes the proposed Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) for the upcoming two fiscal years. <br />One reason to perform this exercise is to ensure that Park Dedication Fees (PDF) or "Quimby" <br />funds are identified and allocated to capital projects as intended by the law allowing collection of <br />these funds. Another reason for presenting this report is to let the Board and public see what <br />projects are planned for the upcoming years. <br />Proposed TEN-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN <br />In order to provide a clearer vision of the next ten years and beyond, staff in both the Parks and <br />Planning Division and the Recreation Services Division have developed a proposed TEN-YEAR <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN (attached). <br />The development process included distribution of the 2019 Board approved TEN-YEAR CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT PLAN and requests from District employees closest to the facilities and residents <br />using the facilities to provide invaluable insight and suggestions regarding potential capital <br />projects.
