Holt, Director Nellie Cusworth, Director Doug Nickles, Director GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS Tex Ward Appropriate $200,000 from Districtwide Assessment Fund Balance to fund Exit Road Renovations at Conejo Creek South (account 62-802-811-80402.012). DISCUSSION In March 2010 the District and the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) entered into a reciprocal access easement as CVUSD utilizes the improved road on the park site and the District historically uses the east and west ends of CVUSD property which allows for access and egress connecting Janss Road to the Conejo Creek South park site. In 2017 the Conejo Valley High School relocated to CVUSD Headquarters on Janss Road. Late in 2017, CVUSD approached the District regarding CVUSD's intent to construct improvements for the High School that would require alteration of the existing exit road utilized by patrons of Conejo Creek South. Without full knowledge of CVUSD's timeline for implementation of the project, the District placed a project for Exit Road Renovations at Conejo Creek South in Year 3 (FY 2021-2022) of the July 2019 Board approved Ten -Year Capital Improvement Plan. CVUSD recently opened bids for these improvements and included the District's permeable asphalt exit road as a separate line item in CVUSD's bid package. The apparent low, responsible, and responsive bidder BSN construction bid $151,967.00 for the District's exit road renovation. CVUSD will manage the project improvements and be reimbursed by the District for the District's costs. District Parks and Planning staff will be involved with the construction meetings to insure minimal to no disruption to park operations and patrons (i.e. AYSO, Conejo Valley Days, Oakheart, etc...).
