CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />May 2, 2019 <br />7:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Huffer called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. and Director Lange led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Holt, Huffer, Lange, Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare, and Lewanda, <br />and Administrative Assistant Foster <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Concerned Off -Road Bicyclists Association (CORBA) <br />Steve Messer, President of CORBA, and Peter Sullivan, Director and local resident, <br />presented on the progress of the Sapwi Bike Park and thanked CRPD for its support <br />thus far. Over 600 hours of volunteer time has been invested to date. Phase 11 will cost <br />$60,000 and include the addition of bike ramps and soil improvements. CORBA needs <br />to raise an additional $33,000 to achieve this goal, which is already in the pipeline. At <br />times, as many as sixty kids have been seen on the tracks. A video from a resident of <br />him and his son utilizing the park was shown. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
