CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 21, 2011 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:32 P.M. and Executive Assistant Ohren <br />led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Jacobsen, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: Holt <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and Lindsey, <br />Recreation Services Manager Steve Wiley, Superintendent Kouba, Executive Assistant <br />Reynders, Executive Assistant Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Chair Jacobsen presented a commendation to Executive Assistant Shirley Ohren for her 21 <br />years of outstanding service to the District. Shirley expressed her thanks to the Board <br />members for their patience, camaraderie and good citizenship and her appreciation for the <br />District as a whole. <br />Division Service Awards <br />Scott Buchanan, Recreation Supervisor <br />Linda Hessman, Administrative Assistant <br />Dana Miller, Recreation Supervisor <br />John Ports, Groundsworker II <br />Lindsey and Kouba introduced the recipients, presented overviews of their professional and <br />academic accomplishments, and thanked them for their outstanding contributions to the <br />District. <br />Recipients thanked the Board, co-workers, families and the Board of Directors for their <br />support, and expressed appreciation for the award. <br />Director Gibson, as President of the California Association of Recreation and Park Districts, <br />presented an award for "Best Innovative Program" to CRPD for its "Young Artists Ensemble." <br />Supervisor Buchanan and Recreation Coordinator McDonough joined Jacobsen in accepting <br />the award. <br />Directors congratulated and thanked recipients for their contributions and efforts on the <br />District's behalf. <br />
