Tom Hare
Administrator, Parks and Planning
Conejo Recreation and Park District
403 West Hillcrest Drive
Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
Re: Qualifications for Lang Ranch Community Park Design Development and
Construction Documents (Psomas Proposal No. CR2009-01)
Dear Mr. Hare:
Thank you for this opportunity to propose on this exciting assignment. We believe that Psomas
has assembled an exemplary team of consultants who have the expertise and experience to
provide a creative, innovative and technically sound project design to the Conejo Recreation and
Park District for the Lang Ranch Community Park.
After careful evaluation of the goals and desires of the District, the Request for Proposal, the
Master Plan and the EIR, we believe that the Psomas Design Team can bring an appropriately
unique perspective to assist the District. Working directly with the District, we will apply our
experience in,community park.pla>ming, public open space project development, and.a profound
knowledge of the technical approach to grading, site design, landscaping, sports fields, lighting
and habitat preservation to develop a creative vision supported by a solid methodology.
We believe. our Project Team will identify the critical issues and utilizing the individual strengths
of our team members, we will provide a park site design that will incorporate the character of the
Conejo Valley and inspire community pride. As the prime consultant, Psomas will apply specific
organizational tools to ensure a seamless and cohesive design process by the Project Design
Team.
This proposal is organized into sections to help clarify the specifics of our proposal.
