In particular, the CCARP <br />will facilitate the removal of species such as arundo (Arundo donax) <br />(corrtinued) and tamarisk (Tamarix spp.) through the inception of a programmatic <br />review and permitting process on a watershed -wide basis. CCARP will <br />also provide -a set of methods for removal, disposal, and revegetation. In -lieu fees in coordination -with the California Department <br />of Transportation fund this project. Wildscape is surveying and mapping <br />the overall vegetation types and invasive plant infestations in Walnut Creek <br />for a long-term removal program. In addition to the plan and vegetation <br />maps, Wildscape will also prepare a site-specific implementation plan for <br />an initial invasive plant removal project. <br />Ventura County Resource Conservation District (VCRCD) - <br />Somis, California <br />Co-NTAcr: Many Melvin, District Manager <br />805-386-4489 <br />San Antonio Creek Vegetation Community and Invasive Plant Survey: <br />Wildscape conducted the San Antonio Creek Vegetation Community <br />and Invasive Plant Survey for the VCRCD. This project was performed <br />in collaboration with the Matilija Dain Ecosystem Restoration project <br />which is sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Ventura <br />County Watershed Protection District. The vegetation was mapped using <br />a modified Sawyer Keeler -Wolf classification system. Wildscape has <br />generated the survey data to promote a watershed level planning effort <br />for arundo (Arundo donax) removal in San Antonio Creek in conjunction <br />with the larger Matilija Arundo Removal Project and to initiate site specific <br />removal efforts in conjunction with the Ventura River Protection Plan. <br />PSOMAS Add l WIdscape Restoration — 87 <br />
