CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 7, 2006 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Gibson called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., and Recreation Supervisor <br />Gass led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton, Hare and Lewanda, <br />Parks Superintendent Marchesano, and Executive Assistant Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Employee Recognition Event <br />Senior staff members commended District employees, and Board members <br />thanked and congratulated the honorees. An overview of each employee's <br />professional and academic achievements was presented. On behalf of the Board <br />and staff, Gibson and Friedl presented awards to the honorees. <br />Rudy Prachyl received an award for 30 years of service; Terri Cata and Arlene <br />Kranz for 25 years; Scott Buchanan, Dana Miller, John Ports for 20 years; and <br />Brockton Smart for five years.. <br />Honorees thanked staff, management and the Board of Directors for their <br />support, and spoke of their pride and pleasure in being part of Conejo <br />Recreation & Park District. Prachyl announced his retirement. <br />The meeting recessed at 8:02 p.m. and reconvened at 8:14 p.m <br />
