February 2, 2006 <br />Page 3 <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Friedl said that no concerns from the public <br />have been received, relative to the use of the site by Hillcrest Christian <br />School. <br />Jacobsen requested that, in the future when a site is to -be discussed, a <br />map be furnished. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to execute the Joint Use Agreement <br />with Hillcrest Christian School for a three-year term. <br />B. Approval Of Request For Use Of Mobile Stage By City Of Agoura Hills <br />Benton stated that the City of Agoura Hills is again requesting use of the <br />mobile stage for its outdoor concert series at Chumash Park; this has been <br />an annual request since 1993 except for 2003 through 2005; the concerts <br />are scheduled for Sundays, June 18, July 9, July 23, and August 6, 2006; <br />none of the dates conflicts with the District's use of the stage; a positive <br />relationship exists between Agoura Hills and the District; and fees will be <br />based on $87 per hour. She noted the presence of Nick Newkirk, <br />Community Services Coordinator of the City of Agoura Hills. Newkirk <br />extended an invitation to everyone, and thanked the District for its support. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to <br />approve the use of the mobile stage by the City of Agoura Hills at <br />Chumash Park for the Summer Concert Series on Sundays, June 18, <br />July 9, July 23, and August 6, 2006, and authorize staff to issue a <br />rental use permit to the Community Services Department. <br />Jacobsen requested that a list of the concerts and artists be made <br />available. <br />C. Readoption Of District Investment Policy <br />Lewanda stated that it is necessary for the Board to annually authorize the <br />delegation of investment authority; and. District funds are being moved to <br />the State Investment Pool (LAIF), since its rate of return is now higher than <br />the rate of return of Ventura County Investment Pool. <br />
