Alex Fiore <br />Thm►canH ngk.q TP.P,n Center <br />CONEJO RECREATION & PARK DISTRICT <br />TO: City of Thousand Oaks and <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District <br />FROM: Brenda Coleman, Teen Services Director <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District <br />DATE: August 26, 2005 <br />SUBJECT: Teen Center Status Report Spring 2005 <br />Summary: <br />During the period April 1, 2005 to May 31, 2005, attendance at the <br />Teen Center totaled 28,778 units of participation. <br />The daily drop-in average of 300 participants comprised a total of <br />18,300 units of participation. <br />There were 255 enrolled in Recreation classes. 120 teens were <br />registered in league play. <br />Special Events and Excursions brought 5923 teens to the Center. <br />Permit Group attendance totaled 4180 participants. These mixed <br />groups are locally based. <br />The facility was closed for Conejo Valley Days from 6:00 p.m. <br />Friday, April 29, 2005 through Sunday, May 1, 2005. <br />Highlights: <br />Spring is the Teen Center's shortest program season of the year, it <br />is only 61 days in length . It includes Spring Break and Conejo <br />Valley Days. <br />For middle school students, the Teen Center hosted two dances, a <br />talent show and a 5K run. For high school students, we hosted <br />spirit night, a hip hop show, and a concert. Participation was <br />high at all events - <br />1375 E.
