A ballot will be mailed to your <br />District within the next week and must be returned as directed by September 2P, <br />I would like to share with you some Of MY feelings regarding Special Districts and CSDA and <br />some of the activities r have taken part in since I was first erected to theboleta. Sanitwy District <br />Board twenty nine years ago this fall. <br />I believe strongly in the role Special Districts play as the third leg of local government in serving <br />the needs and interests of the citizens of California. <br />I Also believe CSDA plays an important part in promoting and articulating the positions of <br />Special Districts on a wide variety of issues. CSDA also provides wi ever increasing number of <br />services in the education and financial fields. <br />CSDA fumctions as the only statewide association representing all types and sizes ofDistncts in <br />the Capitol and through its Chapter network across the State. <br />During my twelve and one half years of service on the CSDA Board, I have seen the association <br />grow dramatically and On leadership among its peers and respect from the members of the <br />legislature. As CSDA matures, its basic services need to be expanded and its financial and <br />membership base needs to grow as it becomes a full partner with Cities and Counties. <br />I am seeking your support to allow me to continue to utilize my background. experience, <br />expertise, and historical perspectives, particularly in the Membership/Chapter area and the <br />Finance Corporation.
