Lange, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Contract for the Purchase and Installation of Play <br />Equipment at Banyan Neighborhood Park <br />On June 1, 2004, bids were opened for the purchase and installation of <br />replacement play equipment for the play area at Banyan Park. Of three plan <br />holders, two bids were received, with the low bid of $70,840 from M.D. Structural <br />Contractors. Owner Gary Doran has done numerous recent installations for the <br />District, including Sunset Hills Park, Borchard Tot Lot, Lynn Oaks Park and <br />Conejo Creek North Park's new 5-12 age play area. <br />Recommendation: <br />The Board authorize the General Manager to award a contract in care of M.D. <br />Structural Contractors, in the amount of $70,840 and a 10% contingency amount <br />of $7,084 for the purchase and installation of Banyan Neighborhood Park play <br />equipment.
