The concert in the park on Memorial Day had an estimated <br />attendance of 5,000. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported interviews were recently need to replace the District's Third Party <br />Administrator for Worker's Comp Services, since Carl Warren will no longer be in this <br />business, as of June 30t. Seven or eight proposals were requested; five were received <br />and three firms were interviewed. The plan is to have the staffs choice hired and in place <br />before the end of June. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />A dedication and unveiling for the Wildflower Playfield sign honoring Frances and Harvey <br />Prince is targeted for a date in the fall. Next Tuesday, he will be taking a representative <br />from Senator Henry Stem's office on a tour of Sapwi Trails Community Park. Due to <br />various calendar conflicts in early July, it was agreed to cancel the July a Board of <br />Directors meeting. There will be no need for a closed session following the regular meeting <br />this evening. <br />E. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meet! ngs/Conferences Attended <br />Gibson reported on his attendance at the CARPD Annual Conference; he urged all <br />attendees to complete a survey regarding same that they will be receiving shortly. Jones <br />attended the recent Districtwide Music Festivals and the Memorial Day Concert in the Park. <br />He also attended "We the People." Huffer congratulated Friedl on the "Jim Meredith <br />Award" he received at the CARPD Annual Conference. Holt represented the District at the <br />McCrea Ranch Benefit. Lange attended the welcoming of the CLU National Division III <br />Champion Baseball Team yesterday. He attended (along with Friedl) the CSDA Leg Days <br />in Sacramento. Also, he was part of the most recent SMMC Board meeting and <br />participated in "We the People" and the Districtwide Music Festivals. <br />12.
