Holt, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Ma <br />SUBJECT: Grant Agreement with Co ' ley United Soccer Club for Futsal Improvements <br />at Los Cerritos Middle School <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to enter into Grant Agreement with Conejo Valley United Soccer <br />Club (CVUSC). <br />DISCUSSION <br />Conejo Valley United Soccer Club (CVUSC), a local not-for-profit program for youth soccer, has <br />served more than 15,000 youth of the community for more than thirty years, by operating its <br />soccer programs on the Thousand Oaks Community Park fields and other District properties. <br />Staff has been working with CVUSC and Conejo Valley Unified School District representatives <br />regarding construction and use of futsal courts at Los Cerritos Middle School; the Board <br />approved a facilities use agreement with CVUSD in July 2015 (see board report and agreement <br />at www.crpd.orq/CVUSDFutsalAgreement). <br />Grant Agreement Highlights <br />• CVUSC will construct improvements of three futsal courts at Los Cerritos Middle School <br />worth approximately $100,000. <br />• CRPD agrees to grant 40% of the costs to CVUSC, not to exceed $40,000. <br />* Costs of the GRANT shall include all costs associated with the construction of the <br />improvements, including, but not limited to, additional design and development, <br />inspections, construction, permit fees, and supplies to ensure the successful initial use of <br />the improvements. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES <br />403 West Hillcrest Drive • Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223 <br />(805) 495-6471 - FAX: (805) 497-3199 • Email: parks@crpd.ong • Website: www.crpd.org <br />
