Holt, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />SUBJECT: Amendment #1 to June 5, Memorandum of Understanding with Conejo <br />Valley United Soccer Club <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to enter into Amendment #1 to June 25, 2009 Memorandum of <br />Understanding with Conejo Valley United Soccer Club (CVUSC). <br />DISCUSSION <br />Conejo Valley United Soccer Club (CVUSC), a local not-for-profit program for youth soccer, has <br />served more than 15,000 youth of the community for more than thirty years, by operating its <br />soccer programs on the Thousand Oaks Community Park fields and other District properties. <br />In June of 2009, in order to solidify and enhance the partnership between CRPD and CVUSC, a <br />Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) (attached) was developed which defined CVUSC's <br />monetary contribution to the construction of field lighting improvements and detailed CVUSC's <br />permitted field use. <br />Staff has been working with CVUSC representatives regarding an amendment to the original <br />MOU, providing for an additional CVUSC monetary contribution to the construction of field <br />restroom and storage, updating sections regarding CVUSC's permitted field use, and extending <br />the MOU. <br />Amendment #9 Highlights <br />• Beginning July 1, 2016, cvuSC shall pay CRPD Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) in <br />equal installments of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) over five (5) years towards the <br />Field Restroom and Storage Improvements. <br />• CRPD shall provide approximately 25 square feet of storage in the Field Restroom and <br />Storage area and provide access to CVUSC. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES <br />403 West Hillcrest Drive .
