TO: City of Thousand Oaks and <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District <br />FROM: Micah Akerson, Teen Services Director <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District <br />DATE: April 7, 2016 ,MA <br />SUBJECT: Alex Fiore Thousand Oaks Teen Center <br />Status Report Fall/Fall Winter 2015 <br />Summary <br />September 15t - December 31st <br />This status report combines the 2015 Fall and the 2015 Fall/Winter seasons. Attendance at the <br />Teen Center totaled 47,968 units of participation. The daily drop-in average of 300 participants <br />comprised a total of 36,600 units of participation. <br />Twenty-nine hundred and sixty-seven teens were actively involved in recreation classes, <br />workshops, league play, special events, the Teen Leadership Club and the Advisory Committees. <br />The Teen Center offered 49 programs; the most popular included Middle School Sports Leagues, <br />BLAST, the Saturday Morning Girls Volleyball League, and TV, Film, and Commercial Acting. <br />Nineteen hundred and ninety-seven teens participated in cooperative programs, and 6,404 <br />seniors, teens and community members used the facility on a permit basis. <br />CRPD received a generous contribution from the Janss Marketplace Reign of Terror in the <br />amount of $43,000; the Teen Center portion was $21,500. Another $5,000 was donated as a <br />result from the Teen Center cooperative effort with the 6th annual Mud Run. The Advisory <br />Committee also received $600 in cash, and $790 in prizes to assist with the annual New Year's <br />Eve Celebration. <br />1375 E.
