General Manager's Report <br />Friedl thanked the Board for their attention to the redevelo9ment trailer bill <br />situation; the outpouring of letters had an impact. July 5 is a normally - <br />scheduled Board meeting; Friedl suggested canceling the meeting on the <br />5th in lieu of the special meeting scheduled for July 11th, which will now <br />occur from 12 noon --- 4:00 pm instead of the originally scheduled 11:00 am <br />— 3:00 pm. Board was in agreement on the scheduled changes. Staff was <br />thanked for their collaborative work on the budget. There will be no need for <br />closed session this evening. <br />Lange reported on the this weeKend's "Amateur Radio National Field Day" <br />event — there will be two venues - one to the east of Civic Center Drive and <br />one at the Reagan Presidential Library. It begins at 11:00 am; Lange <br />encouraged Board members to stop by the event. <br />Holt attended the Wellness Program at the Civic Arts Plaza yesterday. She <br />reported a good attendance in late morning and suggests the use of golf <br />carts, in the future, to facilitate older person's getting from the parking lot to <br />venue. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange and Jacobsen attended the King Gillette Visitor's Center Grand <br />Opening on Saturday, .lune 9th.
