CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Holt called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Friedl led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and Lindsey <br />and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Barbara Kloster — Day of the Horse <br />Kloster introduced fellow ETI Corral #37 Board Members attending the meeting and <br />presented the CRPD Board with a plaque thanking the District for its support of ETI Corral <br />#37. "Day of the Horse" is scheduled for Saturday, September 14th_ All are encouraged to <br />attend. <br />Ride -On — Bryan McQueeney <br />McQueeney, Executive Director, Ride -On Therapeutic Horsemanship, thanked the Board <br />for their support over the years. Next year, Ride -On will be celebrating its 201h anniversary. <br />There is an ongoing $5 million Capital Campaign; $2.1 million has already been raised <br />toward this goal. A number of projects have been identified which will benefit from this <br />fundraising effort. Thanks to the District's generous $50,000 matching grant, the arena <br />improvement project is well underway. All are invited to the Fall Fundraiser on Sept. 21st in <br />Hidden Valley. <br />Rory Schmidt — Goebel Senior Center Commissioner <br />Lindsey thanked Schmidt, who is moving to Washington state, for his contributions to the <br />community over the years and introduced Brenda Coleman, Recreation Services Manager, <br />who made a formal presentation and highlighted Schmidt's many accomplishments over the <br />years. Mike McAdam, Recreation Coordinator at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, <br />presented Schmidt with a gift. Schmidt thanked all the people who have worked on his <br />"team" over the years, and gave special thanks to Steve Wiley and Brenda Coleman_ <br />Board members thanked Schmidt for all his contributions. <br />
