Also, by increasing marketing activities in conjunction with the District 50;`' <br />Anniversary (i.e. Facebook, paid newspaper advertising), staff is working to push the existirg <br />programs, classes and events to full capacity. Other areas of recent revenue gro',W. include <br />wireless communication leases and playfield user fees. <br />In addition to generating additional revenues, the District is working to control and reduce crests <br />throughout the tirgarization. Here are a few items, in no particular order, that staff have <br />recently been working on: Improving computer system capabilities and reliability Y rile <br />reducing IT capital investment via virtual servers; moving some functions to the Cloud, Voice <br />Over Internet Protocol ('V01 P) for phone service; heavier use of social media for marketing and <br />communications to reduce reliance on paper & printing while increasing its communicaticr, and <br />marketing outreach capalcili'Vsss: saving water - using less and less water on a "per developed <br />acre" basis by using %eather sensitive irrigation controllers and reducing nor -essential turf <br />areas; improving the performance and capability of District vehicles and rolling stock to <br />increase fuel efficiency and sa.re on fuel costs; trarsitionirg field refurbishment practices to <br />rely on fess expensive and more ervirormen{ally frierd'�y organic soil amendments; and the <br />proposed solar carport i^staliatiors .r ii reduce electricity costs.
