CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />April 25, 2013 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Holt called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and Lindsey <br />and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />CRPD "App" â Matt Jones & Matt Edwards <br />Jones introduced himself as the weekend Custodian for CRPD; he explained how the <br />CRPD "App" was developed with his partner, Matt Edwards. A PowerPoint presentation <br />highlighted the App's operation and features. <br />Jones answered Board member's question. The Board members thanked Jones and <br />Edwards for their creativity and hard work. <br />IT Update â Mark Segedie <br />Segedie, IT Manager, made a presentation illustrating the efficiencies now being realized in <br />the area of Information Technology, some of which are resulting in significant cost savings <br />for the District. Areas covered included internet access, telephone service, and <br />virtualization. <br />Board members' questions were answered and Segedie was thanked for his informative <br />presentation. <br />Fâ˘. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Cathy Carlson, Thousand Oaks, expressed concern about alcohol in parks and indicated <br />she would like Springmeadow Park to be re -named Norwegian Colony Park and for <br />additional park signage for those driving south on Lynn Road. <br />
