November 3, 2016 <br />Page 5 <br />Hare reported Board members have received their photo contest packets this <br />evening; he requested they be returned no later than November 17th. The City of <br />Thousand Oaks will be performing a waterline replacement project at Conejo Creek <br />North starting on November 28th and lasting thru the middle of January. There will <br />be some traffic lane adjustments during this period. <br /> <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br /> <br /> Callis referenced Rec Highlights. The “Haunted Trail” at Thousand Oaks <br />Community Park event was a huge success, as was the 12-day run of the “Reign of <br />Terror.” Callis is anticipating a photo opportunity at the Janss marketplace <br />sometime next week for the Board to attend. A letter has recently been sent to <br />approximately 50 sports user groups advising them that in spring 2017, staff will be <br />recommending to the Board of Directors a potential new fee structure. Today, a <br />survey (via “Survey Monkey”) was sent electronically to all folks who registered for <br />a fall CRPD program; 37 responses have already been received. <br /> <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br /> <br /> No report. <br /> <br />D. General Manager’s Report <br /> <br /> In Friedl’s absence, Hare reported Conejo Valley Days (CVD) representatives were <br />originally scheduled to come to the Board this evening seeking approval for an <br />agreement regarding CVD 2017; they are still in the process of gathering <br />information and expect to come to the Board in January 2017. The Ride-On <br />fundraising event scheduled for November 12 has been cancelled. Board <br />members commended Huffer and Lange for their election profiles published in the <br />“Thousand Oaks Acorn” today. <br /> <br />E. Directors’ Reports & Follow-Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br /> <br />Lange attended an MRCA meeting last week (third in two weeks); he also attended <br />an SMMC meeting and referenced a presentation on the Santa Monica Mountains <br />Recreation Area made at the T.O. Library last week in conjunction with their “One <br />City, One Book” program. Don Robinson, Chair of the Santa Monica Mountains <br />Advisory Committee will be appearing in a future episode of TOTV’s “Talk of the <br />Town.” Huffer is enjoying his participation in “Leadership Conejo” and the attendant <br />field trips, some of which have included visits to the T.O.
