Holt, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Manag <br />SUBJECT: Rotary Club of Westlake ilia akheart Country Music Festival 2017 Agreement <br />and Permit Conditions, Conejo Creek Park <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to execute the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Oakheart Country Music <br />Festival (OAKHEART) Agreement for 2017. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Prior Events <br />The initial OAKHEART event took place in the summer of 2012 and generated little to no complaints <br />from neighbors. <br />However, noise concerns resulting from the 2013 OAKHEART event were raised by residents and <br />corrections and adjustments have been made to provide a better experience for both the patrons and <br />the surrounding neighborhood, resulting in successful events in 2014, 2015 and 2016. <br />In an effort to balance resident input and OAKHEART requests, staff is presenting the attached <br />agreement. Highlights of the agreement include: <br />• 2017 OAKHEART event to be conducted Saturday, June 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. <br />(music off at 10:00 p.m.); additionally, a set-up day on Friday, June 2nd and clean-up days of <br />Sunday, June 41h, and Monday, June 51h, are included. <br />Maximum ticket sales are limited to 6,000. <br />• Payment to the District is $2,500 per day or portion thereof for a total of $10,000 for the usage <br />period. <br />• Noise levels set at 75 dBA and 90 dBC at property line.
