Holt, Director Joe Gibson, Director Ed Jones, Director GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS Tex Ward Annual Agreement and Authorize General Manager to execute the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook -Off (CHILI COOK -OFF) Agreement for 2017 DISCUSSION In an effort to balance the potential impact to the significant landscaping and capital improvements to the park site with the overall community benefit of the CHILI COOK -OFF, staff has had a series of meetings with ROTARY representatives to discuss the Annual Agreement and Permit for the 2017 CHILI COOK -OFF. The goal of the meetings was to provide a venue at a reasonable fee while minimizing damage and down time at the site. The Agreement allows for the 2017 CHILI COOK -OFF event to be conducted on Sunday, April 30tH This year's event, which will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., will be held at Conejo Creek North Park. Additional parking will be available at Conejo Creek South, Conejo Creek West, and Conejo Creek Northwest. Payment to the District is a total of $4,487.50 as follows: • $2,900 per day at Conejo Creek North (one day), • $337.50 per day at Conejo Creek North (Willow Bend - one day) for initial set-up and preparation the day before the event, • $750 per day for parking at Conejo Creek South (one day), • $500 per day for parking at Conejo Creek West and Conejo Creek Northwest (one day).
