Holl, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />The Board of Directors adopt Resolution 052214-E setting the Facility and Filming Fees and <br />Charges for the Conejo Recreation & Park District effective July 1, 2014. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Annually, staff reviews facility and filming fees and charges and makes recommendations to the <br />Board for any changes. <br />Staff's recommendation is to increase rental and filming fees approximately 5% effective July <br />1, 2014. Exceptions to this increase are athletic fields, athletic courts, athletic field lights, <br />wisteria picnic areas and refundable deposits which are recommended to remain unchanged. <br />Still Photography has been divided into two categories: Still Commercial and Still Portrait <br />Photography. Staff feels this change will allow flexibility to deal with a photographer who is <br />doing family portrait photography versus a company doing print ads. <br />In addition, another category has been added in motion picture photography. The new fee is <br />based on an hourly rate versus the daily rate assessed for film, television series and <br />commercials. There are many requests for reality -type filming, interviews, etc. which are low - <br />impact and don't require a full day to complete. This new category gives the District the <br />flexibility to capture this revenue. <br />The proposed action is consistent with your Board decision to annually review rental and <br />filming fees, deposits and refunds.
