Approve lead staff for each topic area, as recommended in this report. <br />3. Approve meeting schedule and locations. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />No Additional Funding Requested <br />Fund costs of publishing and mailing <br />documents and associated staff time <br />adopted FY 2014-2015 General Fund <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The financial impact includes General <br />notices for community meetings, printing <br />Funding is included in the City Council <br />Budget. <br />On February 11, 2014, City Council approved the "Thousand Oaks 2064" community <br />visioning program, which is part of the City's commemoration of its 50th anniversary. <br />Five topics and related subtopics were selected by City Council for review over the <br />next seven months, with one Councilmember serving as Chairperson for each of the <br />five topic areas. The goal of this effort is to develop a general "road map" with guiding <br />principles for the City through the year 2064, based on input from the community, City <br />Council, and City staff. <br />Following the February 11th City Council meeting, Mayor Fox and Councilmember <br />Irwin agreed to exchange topics, with Mayor Fox acting as Chairperson of the <br />"Environment" group, and Councilmember Irwin chairing the "Infrastructure" group. In <br />addition, lead staff has been identified for each topic and proposed meeting dates and <br />locations have been outlined. Additional technical staff and/or consultants will be <br />involved on particular topics as needed. <br />
