Minutes 5-25--16 <br />Page 2 <br />GUESTS: <br />Ed Jones, CRPD Board of Directors <br />Arlene Norkin, John Posta, Sandy Barry, Evan Stephens, Diane Bates <br />3. PUBLIC DISCUSSION <br />Evan Stephens indicated that he has communicated concerns regarding the <br />Senior Nutrition Program at the Goebel Center to Marleen Canniff, Ventura <br />County Senior Nutrition Manager. He also stated that he had conducted his <br />own survey and that overall patrons were pleased, but they would like more <br />fresh fruit such as strawberries and melon. <br />Seerden replied that the Commission has no bearing in the operation of the <br />Senior Nutrition Program held at the Goebel Center. <br />Coleman added that staff addressed concerns brought forward at the March <br />Commission meeting and provided a written report focusing on the concerns at <br />the April Commission meeting. Coleman also added that VCAAA had recently <br />conducted a Senior Nutrition Program survey at GACC and the results were <br />favorable. <br />Diane Bates spoke in opposition to procedures maintained by staff at the <br />Goebel Center. She felt that staff provides too much oversight to patron <br />behavior. <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF APRIL 27, 2016 <br />Seerden asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the April meeting. <br />It was moved by Norkin, seconded by Baumeister, and passed <br />unanimously, to approve the minutes of the April meeting as presented. <br />6. OLD AND NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Confirmation of CRPD Board Ratification of Commissioners <br />Coleman, in response to Seerden, confirmed the ratification of the newly elected <br />
