December 12, 2013 <br />Page 3 <br />Friedl noted the work of the Lang Ranch Ad Hoc Committee has been completed <br />and suggested this committee be disbanded. Additionally, Friedl suggested the <br />Potential Partnerships for Capital Projects Ad Hoc Committee be created. Holt and <br />Huffer agreed to serve on this new committee. <br />It was agreed by consensus to accept Friedi's suggestions. <br />Gibson expressed an interest in remaining on the COSCA Board of Directors for <br />another term. <br />It was moved by Holt and seconded by Jones to nominate Gibson for another <br />4 -year term on COSCA. It was unanimously agreed upon to close the <br />nominations. The election of Gibson to the COSCA Board of Directors was <br />declared unanimous. <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported work on the shade structures at Conejo Creek North began on <br />Monday. The preconstruction meeting for the Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park <br />project was held yesterday; work is scheduled to commence on Jan. 6th. The <br />District received two awards from the "Ventura County Star": Best Park and Best <br />Hike — both for Wildwood Park. The Solar Project Ribbon Cutting event at <br />Borchard Park on Wednesday was a success. The current issue of CPRS <br />magazine includes an article about the CRPD "App" authored by Hare. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Lindsey reported this Sunday is the Wildwood 5/10K trail run. Holt thanked <br />Lindsey for her work on the Chamber event last evening. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported the need for a closed session. The "Year in Review" will be <br />presented at the first Board meeting in January, which will include a look back at <br />the District's 50th Anniversary.
