Holt, Director <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook -Off — 2016 Annual Agreement and <br />Permit Conditions, Conejo Creek Park <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to execute the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook -Off <br />(CHILI COOK -OFF) Agreement for 2016. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In an effort to balance the impact of the significant financial investments on youth sports <br />improvements to the site with the overall community benefit of the CHILI COOK -OFF, staff <br />has had a series of meetings with ROTARY representatives to discuss the Annual <br />Agreement and Permit for the 2016 CHILI COOK -OFF. The goal of the meetings was to <br />provide a venue at a reasonable fee while minimizing damage and down time at the site. <br />The Agreement allows for the 2016 CHILI COOK -OFF event to be conducted on <br />Sunday, April 24th. <br />This year's event, which will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., will be <br />held at Conejo Creek North Park instead of the traditional Conejo Creek South. <br />Additional parking will be available at Conejo Creek South, Conejo Creek West, and <br />Conejo Creek Northwest. <br />Payment to the District"is a total of $4,487.50 as follows: <br />• $2,900 per day at Conejo Creek North (one day), <br />$337.50 per day at Conejo Creek North (Willow Bend) (one day) for initial set up <br />and preparation the day before the event, <br />$750 per day for parking at Conejo Creek South (one day), <br />• $500 per day for parking at Conejo Creek West and Conejo Creek Northwest (one <br />day). <br />403 West Hillcrest Drive I Thousand Oaks, CA 91380-4223 <br />(805) 495-6471 FAX: (805) 497-3199 Email: parks@crpd.org <br />
