CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br /> <br />Jones called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and McAdam led the flag salute. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Directors Present: Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br /> <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br /> <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda, Lindsey and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br /> <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br /> Old Kranks Bicycle Club – Recognition of Cross-Country Riders <br /> <br /> Patty Hamm, Supervisor, Goebel Adult Community Center, introduced Chuck Bankston, <br />President of the Old Kranks Bicycle Club. He gave a history and overview of the Club, <br />including the club’s four main goals of health, social interactions, fitness and recreation. <br />Currently there are approximately 90 members whose ages range from 50 – 87; the <br />average age is 71. He presented a PowerPoint presentation documenting their coast-to- <br />coast journey. <br /> <br /> Board members honored each of the five riders: Earl Magpiong, Joe Tischler, Larry <br />Lowenberg, Otto Sanders and Marc Weiss, by reading aloud their accomplishments and <br />some personal reflections written by each rider on the highlights of their experience. <br /> <br /> Employee Service Awards <br /> <br /> Pete Martinez – 25 Years <br /> Mike McAdam – 20 Years <br /> Jane Fawke – 10 Years <br /> Sean Crosby – 5 Years <br /> <br /> Recipients were introduced, overviews of their professional and academic <br />accomplishments were presented, and they were thanked for their outstanding <br />contributions to the District.
