Salary adjustments are scheduled as follows: 4% beginning July 11, 2015 and 3.25% the first <br />pay date on or after July 1, 2016. <br />The provisions below summarize and highlight some of the more significant portions of the <br />proposed MOU that have changed from the existing MOU. <br />• Art. 2 — Term — Two years (July 3, 2015 — June 30, 2017). <br />• Art. 15 — Salary Plan — Service pay (aka longevity pay) is reduced by 50% in the <br />first year and eliminated thereafter; shift differential is eliminated; competency exam <br />pay is eliminated except for those who already passed exams (See also Art. 30F.) <br />Salary is adjusted by 4% beginning July 11, 2015 and by 3.25% for first pay date <br />after July 1, 2016. <br />• Art. 17 — Performance Evaluations — Probation period for employees newly hired <br />to the District will be one year. <br />f Art. 25 — Cafeteria Plan and Basic Needs Allowance — Adjustments to reflect the <br />District's monthly contribution to the Cafeteria Plan per the existing formula which <br />occurred on January 1, 2015 and will adjust January 1, 2016 as follows: <br />o Employee only: $ 495 <br />o Employee plus one: $ 885 <br />o Employee plus family: $1,162 <br />• Art. 25G. — Cafeteria Plan — Limited Reopener. The parties agree to further meet <br />and confer to reevaluate benefits within the cafeteria plan that may be revised to <br />provide more value to the members for comparable cost. <br />Art. 31C. - Employer Paid Member Contribution. Eliminated since District pays <br />no portion of the employee's share of their pension contribution. <br />• Art. 38 — Layoff Policy & Procedure. Relocated to Personnel Policy Manual. <br />R Art. 39 — Payment for Vacation. - An additional 40 hours has been added to the <br />maximum number of hours which may be accrued. For those employees whose <br />modification and elimination of longevity pay would otherwise result in their receiving <br />less than 2% in additional compensation each year, additional vacation hours are <br />being added to a vacation bank (unique for each affected employee) to ensure that <br />those employees receive at least a 2% increase in total compensation for each year <br />of the agreement. (See Appendix B & C). <br />• Art. 41- Drug & Alcohol.
