GENERAL. MANAGER BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Jim Friedl Ed Jones, Chair
Chuck Huffer, Vice Chair
George Lange, Director
Susan L. Holt, Director
Joe Gibson, Director
GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS
Tex Ward
DATE: May 7, 2015
TO:
FROM:
SUBJECT;
Board of Directors
Jim Friedl, General Manage
City of Thousand Oaks C ' Improvement Program Budget Study
Session
Attached hereto are 2 pages from the City of Thousand Oaks' Capital Improvement Program
(CIP) Budget Study Session held during the April 28, 2015, City Council Meeting.
Great news! The Sapwi Trails Community Park and the addition of a gym to the Thousand
Oaks Teen Center to support active recreational programming for both teens and adults are
included in the City's proposed CIP.
During the Council's study session both of these projects were highlighted as part of the City
staff's report to the Council. Although there were a few questions raised about some of the
projects within the proposed CIP, neither of these two projects generated comment.
The Council is scheduled to consider their 2 year capital improvement budget on June 9, 2015.
Should the City Council ultimately adopt their CIP budget with these projects included, CRPD
staff will work with City staff in an effort to move forward with these beneficial & cooperative
public projects.
403 West Hillcrest Drive I Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223
(805) 495-6471 FAX: (805) 497-3199 Email: parks@crpd.org
