Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />DATE: April 2, 2015 <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Mana <br />SUBJECT: Strategic Plan Update Consi District's Mission, Vision and Statement <br />of Philosophy and Review and Refine Ideas from the Board Discussion on <br />March 19, 2015 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Consider and modify, if necessary, the District's Mission, Vision and Statement of Philosophy. <br />Discuss and modify as necessary items in the attached Summary Notes for the Strategic Plan <br />Update. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On March 19, 2015, the Board of Directors began the Strategic Plan Update with a <br />brainstorming discussion of various ideas and goals for the coming years. The Summary <br />Notes of that meeting are attached. <br />At this meeting, the Board is asked to consider the District's Mission, Vision and Statement of <br />Philosophy and, if necessary, propose and discuss any modification. <br />Next, the Board may want to refine, expand or adjust any of the bullet point items in the <br />attached summary notes. Then, collectively determine what should be included in the next <br />update to the District's Five Year Strategic Plan.
