In the past, the process of updating the
Strategic Plan has usually taken 1-3 Board meetings. The original Strategic Plan was created
with the help of an outside consultant. This meeting the board will
resume meeting in a study session format to discuss and review, at a very high level, the
overall purpose and direction of the District (Mission, Vision, Statement of Philosophy). In
addition, the Board will be asked to consider the strategic elements and goals (specific,
measureable activities or targets) to accomplish sometime over the five year planning horizon.
The Strategic Plan, combined with the Master Plan and Budget, comprise the primary policy
documents staff regularly relies upon to carry -out the Board's direction.
The Strategic Plan and 2014 Year -in -Review and Update are both available on the District's
website at www.crpd.org.
