CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 21,1997 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m., and Gillette led the flag <br />salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gillette, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: Holt <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward; Administrators Jorgensen, Sorensen, and <br />Washington; Recreation Managers Lindsey and Wiley; Park Maintenance <br />Superintendent Marchesano, Senior Grounds Supervisor Peterson, Human <br />Resources Supervisor Bluhm, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Employee Service Awards <br />Ward commended District employees and said that he was pleased to recognize <br />them. On behalf of the Board and District, Ward presented awards to CRPD <br />employees for five, ten, fifteen, and twenty years of service to the District. <br />Overviews of each employee's professional and academic achievements were <br />presented. <br />Bruce Pace received an award for five years of service to the District, Kevin Smith <br />and Marcia Rutledge, for ten years, and Karen Lindsey, Stanley Rhone, and <br />Steve Wiley for 20 years. <br />The Board expressed appreciation for the efforts and contributions of the employees <br />to the District and the community. The employees thanked the District and Board <br />members for their support. <br />The meeting was briefly adjourned at 8:12 p.m. and reconvened at 8:20 p.m. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />
