March 20, 1997 <br />Page 5 <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that the Tri Valley Alliance joint meeting is scheduled for <br />March 27, preliminary plans for Dos Vientos Park have been received, and <br />the next Ad Hoc Committee meeting on Hill Canyon Recreational Resources <br />Authority is scheduled for April 2. In response to Lange's inquiry, Ward said <br />that a tour will be arranged. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />On behalf of the Board, Lange congratulated Washington on his election as <br />president of CPRS (California Park and Recreation Society), and he <br />synopsized some of the concepts presented at the recent conference. He <br />said that he attended the dedication of Slauson Park in Compton, and he <br />encouraged all to show support for projects both in and out of the District. <br />Berger said he was pleased to represented the District at Eldred Lokker's <br />celebration of life, and he characterized Lokker as a gentle, nice man. <br />12.
