Park Division Report <br />Pluth reported that at Borchard Park the parking lot project has been <br />completed, irrigation and planting will now begin, the skate park is <br />progressing, and it is expected that concrete will be poured soon. <br />Relative to Kimber Park, he said that paving is almost concluded, the <br />concrete and asphalt projects, as well as some of the amenities, such as the <br />drinking fountain and benches, are completed; and the next tasks will be <br />irrigation, landscape work, and installation of playground equipment. <br />On the subject of the dog park, Pluth said that hydro -seeding has been <br />accomplished, and the dog park is essentially completed. <br />Concerning the McCrea Ranch, he said that the seismic retrofit and roof <br />projects are underway, and excellent contractors have been secured for all <br />District projects. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Ward said that in the near term the back <br />page of the brochure will be used as a public information forum, and at some <br />point the McCrea Ranch site could be promoted. Jacobsen said he sees the <br />site as a unique community asset with great potential. <br />In response to Berger's request, Pluth confirmed that he would be pleased to <br />talk to community youth about the skate park. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that on December 1 o Uld Meadows Therapeutic Unit held its <br />Silver Starlight Ball, which was attended by 165 people; on December 16 <br />approximately 300 high school students attended the Teen Center concert; <br />and New Year's Eve Dances are scheduled at the Goebel Center and the <br />Teen Center. <br />C.
