In response to Jacobsen's inquiries, Benton highlighted the tutoring program at Conejo Elementary School, and said that tutors will be from California Lutheran University, the program will not be a duplication of existing programs, grant monies were used, the principal sought the program, .the school satisfied grant criteria, and the program will be evaluated and consideration given to its possible application at other schools. In response to Holt's inquiry, Benton said that the Parachute Express program was well received and will be scheduled again next year. C. Administration Division Report Jorgensen reported that the website redesign project is progressing well, and on-line registration is currently being utilized with minor problems. In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Jorgensen said that the next major goal is on-line, real time registration at all centers, no current software package satisfies all District needs, and there is a growing number of program registrants who are using on-line registration. D. General Manager's Report Ward reported that District and City staff continue to work on the disposition, scope and design parameters of the 401 Hillcrest project; administrative staff will meet with Gerard van Steyn, of Shilts Consultants, on August 18; and the dedication ceremony .of the Old Meadows Neighborhood Park playground has been rescheduled. He referenced various handouts including Thousand Oaks Library Foundation correspondence relative to a proposed expansion for a radio archive, and CSDA (California Special Districts Association) correspondence regarding the Joint Amicus Brief — Sonoma County ERAF (Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund) and the property tax shift. E. Directors' Reports Berger noted the recent Los Angeles Times news article on Mike McAdam, District employee, and in response to Berger's request, Jacobsen said that he would represent the Board at the August 18 groundbreaking for the Community Transportation Facility and Green Meadow Bikeway.
