March 22, 2001
Page 2
7. DEFERRED MATTERS
None
8. NEW ITEMS
A. Approval To Execute Conejo Valley Days Agreement For 2001 and
Accept Permit Conditions
Sorensen presented background information and reported on the discussion
between District staff and representatives of the Conejo Valley Activities
Corporation (CVAC), regarding the permit fee for the 2001 Conejo Valley
Days (CVD) Annual Agreement. He stated that in 2000, the agreement was
for $12,000 plus four percent of net profits, which amounted to $2,800; there
was an additional expectation last year that CVAC would establish a set
aside account for the purpose of contributing toward capital costs of site
development; the set aside never materialized; it has been proposed in
discussions with CVAC that a percentage of net profit be considered for this
year. The 2001 Agreement terms are proposed to be the same as 2000,
$12,000 plus four percent of net.
It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 3-0 to authorize
staff to execute the submitted Conejo Valley Days (CVD) Agreement for
2001 and accept 2001 CVD Permit Conditions.
B. Approval To Assist City Of Westlake Village In Implementation Of 2e
Anniversary Celebration
Benton said that the District participated in the 10th and le anniversary
celebrations of the City of Westlake Village, and the current request for
assistance in implementing their 20th anniversary celebration is similar. In
response to Holt's inquiry, Benton reviewed the terms of the proposed
budget.
It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 3-0 to authorize
staff to assist the City cf Westlake Village in implementation of their 2e
anniversary celebration.
