CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 2002 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., noted that this was the first <br />meeting at Hillcrest Center, and led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Berger arrived at 7:40 p.m. <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen, Scott, and <br />Sorensen, Senior Park Planner Pluth, Recreation Supervisor Lukes, and Executive <br />Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Young Athlete Award <br />Tiffany Day Neutil — Oaks Christian High School Softball <br />Chris Randall — Newbury Park High School Basketball <br />Holt and Jacobsen welcomed the honorees and highlighted their accomplishments, <br />noting that Neutil played a key role in leading her team to the championship game <br />for the second consecutive year, and Randall led Ventura County in scoring with a <br />22.9 per game average and set a single season school record with 619 points. <br />On behalf of the Board, Holt and Jacobsen presented awards to Neutil and Randall. <br />Coach Steve Johnson thanked the District for its support, and said that Randall is <br />an honor student and exemplary sportsman. <br />Randall thanked his family and coaches for their support, and the District for its <br />positive work in the community and the award. <br />
