May 9, 2002 <br />Page 5 <br />expected to start in September, although delays can never be completely <br />ruled out. <br />In response to Jacobsen's request, Sorensen said that a tour of the Dos <br />Vientos site will be arranged. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Scott reported that the Teen Center will host a dance for 7th and a graders <br />on Saturday, May 11. She highlighted upcoming events on May 18, including <br />a Teen Center Talent Show, the Outdoor Unit's Sycamore to the Sea hike, <br />and the Community Garage Sale at Thousand Oaks Community Center. She <br />said that over 200 people had a enjoyable and educational experience at the <br />Senior Festival on May 8, and Ann Jeffries was the featured speaker. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Scott said that data regarding fees charged <br />for rental of mobile stages has been researched, and a report is being <br />compiled and will be presented to the Board. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />Jorgensen reported that court proceedings on the liability case involving a <br />roller blade injury at Borchard Park began May 7 <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that the sale of the Rancho Conejo property has been <br />completed, the sale of the Administration Offices at 155 Wilbur Road is <br />expected to close shortly, the administrative staff will move to its new location <br />at 403 W. Hillcrest on May 20, and a COSCA meeting is scheduled for <br />May 22. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Ward said that proceeds from the sale of the <br />Rancho Conejo property will be put into the District's insurance trust fund. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Holt said that June Glasmeier was elected to the California Senior <br />Legislature, and requested that a letter of congratulations be sent. <br />Lange reported that the CARPD Conference was very beneficial. <br />
