Approval Of Revised Thousand Oaks High School Cross Country <br />Permit Conditions <br />Scott stated that ETI (Equestrian Trails, Inc.) Corral 37 President Jim <br />Rochford requested a meeting with Thousand Oaks High School (TOHS) <br />Coach Robert Randnoti and District staff, to propose changes to the 2004 <br />Thousand Oaks High School Cross Country Permit Conditions for use of <br />Waverly Park and the Conejo Creek North Equestrian area. Continuing, <br />Scott said that a meeting was held on July 16, and both parties agreed to <br />the conditions; Rochford confirmed that a safety problem does not exist <br />between horses and runners, and he requested that conditions be modified <br />to permit horses within the area during cross country activities. <br />Additionally, Scott said that staff monitored Thursday Thrill Races during the <br />summer of 2003, and there were no problems involving horses and runners. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Scott said that TOHS Cross Country Team <br />will be involved in a weed abatement project, a minimum of six signs will be <br />posted by staff prior to the event, staff will discuss with Coach Randnoti trail <br />etiquette training for visiting teams, fees are involved with site permits, and <br />a fee schedule will be provided at the next meeting. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />the submitted revised Thousand Oaks High School (TORS) Cross <br />Country Permit Conditions. <br />Lange requested that staff thank both parties for their collaboration <br />9.
