CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 23, 2003 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Lange called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. and Tom Sorensen led the <br />flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen, Scott, <br />and Sorensen, Park Superintendent Bob Marchesano, <br />Recreation Services Managers Karen Lindsey and Steve <br />Wiley, and Administrative Secretary Dvorkin <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Parks Division and Recreation Division Annual Service Awards Presentations <br />of service awards were made to Ethan Zinner, David Braff, Ryan Condercuri, and <br />Ron Dugar by Scott and Lindsey. Paula Rossomando was not present to receive <br />her award. Marchesano presented the Parks and Planning Division's Employee <br />of the Year Award to Marc Gann. Following congratulatory comments by <br />Directors Lange, Berger, Holt, and Jacobsen, there was a brief break at 7:51 <br />p.m. <br />Meeting reconvened at 8:00 p.m. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Barbara Kloster of Thousand Oaks introduced the new board members of the <br />ETI Corral #37. They are President Jim Rochford, Vice President Maureen <br />McNamara, Secretary and Community Awareness Barbara Kloster, Treasurer <br />Peg Rungaitus, Activities Lori Thomas, Membership Chairman Mike Tosch, <br />Junior Advisor Christine McQuaid. She also wanted to let everyone know that <br />this is a new board that hopes to maintain an open level of communication with <br />the District and Conejo Valley Unified School District. Chair Lange thanked <br />Kloster <br />-1- <br />
