CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 18, 2004 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Holt called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., and Gibson led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Assistant General Manager Friedl, <br />Administrators Benton and Lewanda, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Dos Vientos Community Center — Matt Kouba, Scott Engel <br />Engel presented an overview of the center's activities involving a large variety of <br />programs, sports, special events, and groups, including local homeowner <br />associations, sports organizations and local schools. <br />Kouba presented a PowerPoint presentation of center activities and participants. <br />Board members commended Kouba on the slide presentation, and urged it be <br />submitted to professional conferences and made available to the community. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Engel said that only one complaint about lighting has <br />been received, and it was remedied with an adjustment, no complaints have been <br />received about noise, and the facilities are being used cooperatively by various <br />sports organizations and schools. <br />Jacobsen requested that data presented by Engel documenting the activities at the <br />center be made available. <br />4.
