CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 10, 2004 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />In the absence of Chair Holt, Acting Chair Berger called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 p.m., and Senior Grounds Supervisor Peterson led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Jacobsen arrived at 7:39 p.m. <br />Directors Absent: Holt <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Assistant General Manager Friedl, <br />Administrators Benton and Lewanda, Parks Superintendent Marchesano, Senior <br />Parks Planner Pluth, Senior Grounds Supervisor Peterson, Human Resources <br />Supervisor Bluhm and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Employee Recognition Awards <br />Recipients <br />Jay Dodwell Paul Pierce Wayne Robb <br />Michael Hawk Michael Pounds Nick Turner <br />Ward welcomed recipients and guests. Staff recognized the honorees, presented <br />overviews of their professional and academic accomplishments, and thanked them <br />for their efforts. On behalf of the District and Board, Ward presented awards to the <br />recipients, who thanked the District for the recognition. Board members offered <br />congratulations and expressed appreciation for the employees' hard work and <br />dedication. <br />Berger recessed the meeting at 7:55 p.m. and reconvened at 8:05 p.m. <br />Friedl introduced Aline Reynders, new Administrative Secretary for the Parks and <br />Planning Division. <br />
