March 18, 2004 <br />Page 2 <br />Staff thanked Kloster and McNamara for their input, and explained that Conejo Creek <br />South is under construction, and this phase of construction is nearing completion. <br />Holt recessed the meeting at 8:20 p.m. and the meeting reconvened at 8:30 p.m. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval Of Minutes Of March 4, 2004 Meeting <br />B. Approval Of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $205,162.48 <br />Payroll Total $232,788.10 <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0, to <br />approve the Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Adoption Of Resolution 031804-A, A Resolution In Support Of "The Local <br />Taxpayer And Public Safety Protection Act" (November 2004) <br />Ward referenced the documentation, and provided background information. He <br />explained that the resolution offers support for an initiative sponsored by the <br />League of California Cities, the California State Association of Counties and the <br />California Special Districts Association, the measure is intended to increase <br />local control over local tax dollars, and to provide stability and security for local <br />government funding. Referencing the Education Revenue Augmentation Fund <br />(ERAF), he said next year it is projected that the shift of ERAF funds from <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District will reach $1,467,262, without any <br />additional shifts. <br />
