May 5, 2005 <br />Page 3 <br />Sign Dedication is scheduled for May 21St at 10:30 am. Director Gibson <br />mentioned a scheduling conflict with an event at the Senior Center that <br />same morning at 11:00 am. <br />Director Gibson asked about dates for the Amgen Field Dedication and <br />Conejo Valley All-Star Dedication. Friedl said that no date has been set for <br />either event. Gibson suggested the All-Star dedication be planned <br />concurrently with the Championship Playoffs in June. Gibson would like to <br />see the Amgen Field Dedication occur in the next 4-5 weeks. Friedl said <br />the plan was to coordinate with new league schedule. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that there will be a Volunteer and Contract Instructor <br />Recognition Picnic on Friday evening, May 6th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at <br />Conejo Creek North. <br />There will be a Pet First Aid class held at Hillcrest Center on Saturday, May <br />7th from 1:00 — 5:00 pm. <br />Ten individuals representing the "Award Wining Conejo Theatre for <br />Everyone" program were pulled in the CRPD wagon behind a COSCA <br />Ranger's truck in the Conejo Valley Days Parade. <br />The Teen Center will host a High School Concert on Saturday, May 7 from <br />7:00 —11:00 pm, featuring the headlining group "Odd Project." There will <br />also be a dance for 7"' and 8th grade students held on Saturday, May 10' <br />from 7:00 —10:00 P.m. Local 7 and 8th grade talent will be showcased on <br />Saturday, May 215 <br />from 7:00 — 9:00 am. <br />The spring Sycamore to the Sea hike will be on Saturday May 21 from <br />9:00 am — 4:00 pm. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that he and Mr. Friedl attended a very productive meeting <br />with school district staff to discuss several ongoing items, including the <br />Sycamore Gym in the Dos Vientos area. <br />
