September 21, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br />Gibson recommended that Christenson meet with General Manager Friedl and <br />staff. <br />Barbara Kloster, representing Corral 37, reported that the Day of the Horse event <br />was very successful and $1,000 was presented to Ride On. She presented a <br />plaque to the Board of Directors in appreciation for the District's support. <br />Board members thanked Kloster for her work. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of September 7, 2006 Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $262,560.22 <br />Payroll Total $275,429.52 <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Berger, and carried 4-0, to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />A. Consider Adoption of Resolution Number 092106-A; Ballot for <br />Independent Special District Alternate Commissioner to the Ventura <br />LAFCO <br />Friedl referenced the correspondence from Local Area Formation <br />Commission (LAFCO) and stated that Alternate LAFCO Commissioner <br />Lange becomes a LAFCO Commissioner on January 1, 2007, thus leaving <br />a vacancy for the Special District Alternate Member. <br />Lange stated that Holt and he attended the recent LAFCO special <br />candidates' forum, Jesse Ramirez did not attend, Suzie Paxton Koesterer <br />withdrew her candidacy, and their recommendation for Alternate Member is <br />Gail Livingston Pringle, of Calleguas Municipal Water District. Holt <br />concurred. <br />
