ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Jacobsen arrived at 8:50 p.m. <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Assistant General Manager Friedl, <br />Administrators Benton and Lewanda, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />COSTAC (Conejo Open Space Trails Action Committee) Trails Education <br />Days Contest Winners <br />Winners <br />School <br />Hilary Chuh <br />Acacia Elementary School <br />Celine Decker <br />Lang Ranch Elementary School <br />Kimberly Kirsch <br />Lang Ranch Elementary School <br />Olivia Mueller <br />Westlake Elementary School <br />Sivan Krems <br />Westlake Hills Elementary School <br />Elayne Haggan and Julia Osborn highlighted the 2006 COSTAC essay contest <br />and the annual Trails Education Days. They said that approximately half of the <br />1,700 fifth graders who took part in the Wildwood Park activities participated in the <br />essay contest. They referenced the handout, noted the 2006 winning essays <br />therein, identified and introduced the winners present, and thanked the District and <br />Board of Directors for their support of COSTAC. On behalf of the Board of <br />Directors, Gibson presented gifts to Hilary Chuh, Olivia Mueller and Sivan Krems, <br />who read their essays, which reflected their knowledge and appreciation of nature. <br />
