CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 19, 2007 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton and Lewanda, <br />Senior Park Planner Pluth and Administrative Assistant Reynders. <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Andrea Koval, Goebel Senior Adult Center Supervisor, introduced Cindy Powers, <br />Director of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) who provided a <br />presentation highlighting many benefits of volunteering. <br />Director Lange stated that providing this presentation to the wider community <br />would be most beneficial. Powers suggested TOTV and the Council on Aging as <br />possible outlets for dissemination. Director Berger suggested contacting Kitty Dill <br />of the Ventura County Star. Director Holt thanked Powers for a well -presented, <br />interesting report and Director Jacobsen thanked GSAC staff for their dedication to <br />its programs. <br />General Manager Friedl thanked Lizzie Benton, Recreation Services Manager <br />Steve Wiley and GSAC Supervisor Andrea Koval for their help with recent <br />activities at the Senior Center. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />None. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />
